GPIO

The Titan GPIO Interface Adapter provides opto-isolated, screw terminal input and output connections for the Mercury4 or Mercury5 UHF RFID reader. The adapter interfaces with the reader through a 9 pin serial interface. A DC adapter interface is provided to power external sensors and relays connected to the terminals.

Features of the Titan GPIO Interface Adapter include:

10 Position I/O Screw terminal

Three open collector outputs
- 10K Ohm pull-up resistors to DC power
- Can sink 50 mA
Two inputs
- May be driven by an NPN open collector or by a contact closure to ground
- Each driving circuit only needs to sink 5 mA
Three grounds
Two power output connections
- Supplied from DC power jack

DC Power input jack uses a standard 2.5mm DC barrel power connector with positive center pin and accepts any voltage between 9 and 24 VDC.

Internal jumpers allow ground and power terminals to float when external power is used.
